About the Job

EskewDumezRipple is seeking a Sustainable Design Specialist to join our New Orleans office.

Responsibilities

The role involves collaborating with architecture, interiors, and planning teams to enhance design outcomes focused on climate resilience, equity, and health. Responsibilities include conducting analysis and research to guide design decisions, utilizing various simulation and analytical tools to assess factors such as carbon emissions, thermal and moisture dynamics, daylighting, ventilation, and community impact. Additionally, the position involves evaluating post-occupancy performance of projects, including energy and water usage, indoor air quality, and occupant comfort. Results are communicated to project teams, the wider firm, and professional audiences through blog posts and conference presentations. We are looking for candidates who are technically adept, flexible, curious, and good communicators.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Architecture or related science or engineering fields, Masters preferred
• 3 years’ experience in architectural firms preferred; licensure a plus
• Accreditations & certifications such as LEED GA/AP, WELL AP, CPHC, LFA a plus
• Experience with simulation tools such as Tally, Lightstanza, WUFI, THERM, Climate Studio or other energy modeling software desirable
• Experience with Revit environment a plus
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas through compelling text and graphics
